2016-17 Church Goals
What are the goals for this year, so that we can fulfill God’s purpose for this church?
1. We are hoping to pay off a major portion of the mortgage for the land, so that we can start raising funds towards the development of our ministries on Hwy 378.
2. We are working on developing the plans for the Hwy 378 land and will soon be ready for the architect to draw up the master site plan, so that people in the church and community know what we are doing and can support it with excitement.
3. We have asked the Conference for funds to start the preparation of the land on Hwy 378, so that the land will be ready for development at a later date.
4. We are going to put together a video of the different ministries of the church and have it play on TVs mounted on the FLC wall, so that people know what we are doing at Beulah in a way that catches their attention.
5. We are working to improve our Web-site and Facebook, so that we can get the word out to the church and community about our ministries.
6. Learn to advertise our events better, so that we get the word out about our events and we are not wasting money on advertising that does not work.
7. Develop better communications within the church, so that we all know what is going on and can support each other’s ministries.
8. Continue to change the way that we look at ministry as we work to be the community spiritual center, so that we are always aware of the vision and mission of Beulah in the community.
9. Focus the ministries on relationships within the church and with the community, so that we meet the needs of the community in a way that leads people to Christ and transforms lives.
10. Plan with a “so that”, so that we do not lose track of why we are doing the ministries of the church. Sometimes we get so busy planning something that we forget why we are doing it and the completion of the “something” becomes the goal.
Examples:
A. We are not building buildings just to build more buildings. We are developing plans to develop the Hwy 378 land, so that we can be the spiritual center of the community and better meet the needs of the community in ways that lead people to Christ and transforms lives.
B. We are not doing youth events to entertain the youth. We are doing youth events, so that the youth are led to Christ and their lives are transformed.
C. We are not having music at the church just to entertain people during the worship services. We are having music,so that people are provided an opportunity to experience Christ and have their lives transformed.
D. We are not having Vacation Bible School just to have VBS. We are having VBS, so that the children are led to Christ and their lives are transformed.
